Architecture Study Program

Who are we?

We are the ones who can teach you how to create the world of tomorrow.
By studying architecture, you will enrich yourself with thorough knowledge in the field of design, history and theory of architecture, technical sciences, urbanism, design, art history, project and company management.
What do we do?

We encourage the creator within you, your power to imagine the world you want, and teach you how to do it.
What do we learn?
We learn to build together a more beautiful world. We learn to draw, conceive, design and then put into practice what we have learned, so that the final result, the buildings, bears its own imprint, in which your intelligence and creative power will be reflected.

The Registrar’s Office manages all enrollment-related issues. We use the term students in its broadest sense, to include BA students, MA students, PhD students as well as other graduate course students.

Students’ service:

ec. Anca TĂTAR

Eng. Krisztina BORDEI

Industrial and Agricultural Civil Engineering (CCIA)

Water Supply and Sewerage Systems Construction (CSAAC)

Smart and Sustainable Construction (CIS).

Architecture (Arh.)

Land Measurements and Cadastre (MTC)

Geoinformatics Systems in Cadastre and Urbanism (SGCU)

The members of the Registrar’s Office are accountable for official school documents, such as: enrollment registers, marking sheets, grade log books, students record cards, as well as all the other documents referring to the students’ situation, such as transcripts of records, diploma supplements, notification, etc. The Registrar’s Office also participates in the process of granting scholarships, reclassifies students benefiting from subsidized places, keeps records of payments covering tuition fees and any other administrative fees.

 About us

Starting with 1976 the Pedagogical Institute of Oradea began its activity with sub-engineering departments.

The day courses lasted until 1986 and evening classes until 1993. Between 1976-1989 the name of the Pedagogical Institute was successively changed into the Institute of Higher Studies and then into the Institute of Sub-engineers Oradea.

After the revolution of 1989, Romanian higher education returned to the Romanian tradition correlated with the Western system.

Thus, in 1990, by H.G. nr. 460/02.05.1990, the Technical University of Oradea is established, within which the Faculty of Environmental Protection was established, among whose specializations functioned since 1993 Cadastre – Geodesy profile, as well as Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Protection – Constructions profile, as resulting from OM no. 4685/ 07.04.1993. The establishment of the specialization Cadastre – Geodesy profile – predates H.G.R. no. 569/1995, regarding the program of the academic evaluation process (approved in the meeting of C.N.E.A.A. on 09.10.1995).

With the establishment of the specializations "Architecture" (1994) and "Civil, Industrial and Agricultural Constructions" (2003), in addition to the existing 2 – Cadastre and Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Protection, the creation of the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering in 2002 became imminent.  The Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, established by H.G. 410/May 2002, by detachment from the Faculty of Environmental Protection, began its activity in the academic year 2002 – 2003, within it functioning in the profile of Constructions the  specializations Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Protection – accredited since 2002  and Industrial and Agricultural Civil Constructions – provisionally authorized – 2003.

Starting with the academic year 2003-2004, the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering included the specializations Cadastre, Architecture, Sanitary Engineering and Environmental Protection and Industrial and Agricultural Civil Constructions, all in the form of "full-time" education. This initiative stemmed from the alignment of Romanian higher education with the European and world one.

The Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, renamed in 2015 as Faculty of Construction, Cadastre and Architecture has 4 related study programs, with great demand on the labor market. Considering that the number of investors in the area is constantly increasing, that a large number of projects are being developed, which attract EU funds, at the same time, taking into account the specificity of the fields of training, in accordance with the socio-economic needs of the western area, especially through the available material base, the number of existing teachers, as well as the number of students who have opted for these training programs; The existence of these study programs represents viable and prospective options for young high school graduates.

Currently, within the faculty there is an accredited master program in the field of Civil Engineering and Installations with a duration of 2 years called "Smart and Sustainable Constructions" and an accredited master program in the field of Geodetic Engineering, with a duration of 2 years, called "Geoinformation Systems in Cadastre and Urbanism".
